  "projectDescription": "The Center for Marine and Environmental Studies at the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) led a marine debris clean-up of the 720 acre Cas Cay Mangrove Lagoon Marine Reserve and Wildlife Sanctuary.  Community volunteers participated in 4 cleanup events utilizing small boats and kayaks to navigate the reserve.  Volunteers collected a range of items, from buckets to refrigerators, and UVI was able to use this project as a outreach and education opportunity by providing coordination meetings and workshops throughout the duration of the project.",
