  "projectDescription": "This project involved the reconnection of an off-channel pond that is rearing habitat for Coho Salmon and Steelhead Trout.  The juvenile salmonids rearing in the pond were at risk due to the pond becoming disconnected from San Vicente Creek.  This disconnection lead to reduced water and oxygen levels and an increase in temperature.  The pond is now reconnected.  The inlet and outlet channels leading to and from the pond will need to be checked after the end of the winter storm season, to see if the pond becomes reisolated.",
