  "projectDescription": "Isla Ratones is a small island off of the west coast of Puerto Rico. In the past, the island supported extensive seagrass beds, healthy mangrove forests, and coral reefs. But the ecosystem health of the island has been seriously impacted over the years from human impacts, storms, disease, and coral bleaching.  Today, the island of Isla Ratones is roughly half the size it was 60 years ago.  This project planted 400 mangrove seedlings along the shoreline and established ten Taino artificial reefs to create fish habitat, a surface for coral propagation, and an interpretive underwater coral trail for visitors.",
