  "projectDescription": "The Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies, Inc. will support and increase the effectiveness of an annual Kachemak Bay CoastWalk, a community-based coastal marine debris removal, monitoring, and prevention outreach program that addresses 200 miles of shoreline.  The area includes the city of Homer, the Kachemak Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, and Kachemak Bay State Park.  In addition, sub-award funding will be used to expand this model program to develop an Alaskan CoastWatch network, which will help to launch similar efforts in communities where clean-up is needed.",
