  "projectDescription": "A new wall was added near the fish ladder at the Central Street Dam. An additional step/pool was placed at the bottom of the current ladder to aid fish entry into the ladder. A deep holding pond at the bottom of the dam wall was created for fish access during periods of low flow. Improvements have created passage for migratory fish such as alewife and blueback herring enabling them to reach the freshwater spawning grounds of the upper Parker River.",
