  "projectDescription": "The Tulalip Tribes acted as agents for the Natural Resource Trustees in a series of property acquisitions, with NOAA providing technical assistance, protecting 410 acres of land for the purposes of future restoration.  Ultimately 360 acres were restored to intertidal salt marsh habitat within the Snohomish River Estuary. The dike was breached, and a partial tidal channel network was excavated.  The Qwuloolt site is part of a set of sites in the lower Snohomish Estuary that is the largest estuary restoration in Puget Sound, and achieves the 10-year recovery goal for threatened Puget Sound Chinook salmon in the Snohomish Basin.",
