  "projectDescription": "In partnership with NOAA, Restore America's Estuaries, and the FishAmerica Foundation, the North Carolina Coastal Federation conducted the second phase of a large salt marsh restoration project in Carteret County, North Carolina.  Phase Two of this project was focused on a 111-acre tract of prior-converted farmland at the North River Farms restoration project area.  An enhanced stream/wetland corridor was created by diverting water transported by ditches and canals into restored streams and wetlands.  Students and community volunteers were involved in native vegetation plantings on the restored wetlands site.",
