  "projectDescription": "This project improved salmon-rearing habitat for chinook, coho, sockeye and pink salmon, as well as a healthy native rainbow trout population. Restoration activities were done along 1,790 feet of riverbank including log terracing, coir log installation, application of imported soils and erosion mats, and planting of willows and cottonwood. Participants also learned about the river and riparian ecosystems that they worked to restore, as well as the natural and human processes that cause the habitats to degrade in the first place.",
