This project developed a Reef Medic program to help prevent boat groundings, report them when they occur, and help repair grounding sites. Objectives of the Reef Medic program include: 1) training volunteers to assist staff with restoration of small vessel grounding sites, 2) fostering community awareness, participation, and stewardship of natural resources, and 3) using an existing grounding site as a training site for Reef Medic volunteers.",
