  "projectDescription": "The goal of this project was to locate areas where Diadema urchin juveniles are settling in the Florida Keys, yet have a low chance of survivorship due to unstable substrate, and relocate them to more stable areas where their grazing activities may benefit the coral reef.  Unfortunately, three hurricanes impacted the Florida Keys during the grant and urchins did not survive in the unstable areas.  It was, therefore, not possible to successfully complete the project by relocating urchins and monitoring effects on the coral reef.  However, after the close of this grant, a large number of juvenile urchins did recruit in 2006 and TNC partnered with the Marine Sanctuary and local volunteers to relocate some of these animals.",
