  "projectDescription": "This project measured the density of nekton (fish and swimming invertebrates) in three created salt marshes to examine the rate at which newly created habitat matures.  All three marshes had approximately the same density of nekton during the final sampling season.  All marshes were functioning at a lower level than natural marshes, in terms of supporting production of commercially important fishery species such as shrimp and blue crabs.",
