  "projectDescription": "At the mouth of Hamm Creek, a tributary to the Duwamish River, 6,000 wetland and upland plants were planted, restoring one acre of new emergent salt marsh, two acres of freshwater wetlands, and 1900 feet of stream bed. People for Puget Sound engaged an urban youth corps and up to 300 volunteers at three major volunteer planting days. In addition, People for Puget sound conducted on-site weeding, replacement of failed plantings and maintenance of fencing designed to exclude predators from the site.",
