  "projectDescription": "The 'Tampa Bay Stewardship Initiative - Phase I\", implemented by Tampa Bay Watch, completed several individual projects to help protect, conserve, and restore the natural resources of Tampa Bay.  From the spring of 2004 to the fall of 2006  Tampa Bay Watch completed a scallop restoration and monitoring program including the Great Bay Scallop Search, helped to protect the colonial bird nesting islands through nine clean-up events, hosted 5 derelict crab trap removal events, and enhanced their education and monitoring program through  curriculum development, teacher education, and the formation of an Education Advisory Council.",
