  "projectDescription": "The Invasive Species Plant Task Force, a partnership of local, county, and state government representatives as well as private industry and community organizations, implemented an upland restoration project at Sun City Heritage Park along the Manatee River.  This project resulted in the restoration of 9.5 acres of upland habitat cleared of invasive plant species allowing for the successful recruitment of native species.  Three volunteer events were held to help remove invasive/exotic Brazilian pepper, lead tree and air potato species and the efforts of this project benefited the entire 28-acre footprint of the park.",
