  "projectDescription": "There was a tidal restriction that impacted an approximately 11-acre upstream marsh and caused an impediment to fish migration to an upstream spawning pond. Two existing 30-inch culverts were replaced with an 8-foot box culvert and associated wingwalls. Slots for flashboards near the top of the culvert were added to provide flood protection. The project also included regrading and repair of Sea Street to address the erosion of road materials and deposition in the marsh. The culvert replacement alleviated the tidal restriction and opened all migratory fish passage.",
