  "projectDescription": "This project improved habitat for salmon by increasing fish passage, reducing sediment input into streams, reducing water temperatures, and providing nutrient inputs into aquatic ecosystems. The specific components of the project were a) migratory fish passage improvements in both upper and lower watershed areas; b) riparian planting in tributary and mainstem streams; and c) sediment reduction projects on high-risk roads in the Coos County Forest. Federal, state, and local agencies, as well as local private landowners, participated in the projects, which collectively restored 16 acres of riparian habitat and improved fish access to more than two miles of stream.",
