  "projectDescription": "This project restored a small population of native oysters by establishing \"mini\" oyster reefs under community participant's private docks on the Magothy River. Local citizens, school groups, and scientists worked together to build a network of small natural oyster reef communities at different locations throughout the Bay. The 9 reefs now provide fish and crab habitat, reduce shoreline erosion, filter the water of nutrients and plankton and serve as new recruitment sites for future generations of oysters.",
