  "projectDescription": "Childs Creek is part of the Hansen Creek watershed entering the Skagit River at mile 32.  The Hansen Creek watershed has been severely impacted by excess sedimentation from logged upstream slopes, bank erosion, and loss of riparian cover in reaches that have been grazed, diked, and ditched.  Furthermore, fish populations have been in decline as a result of excess sediment, lack of wood structures, and insufficient pool habitat. This project addressed these problems by revegetating Childs Creek with native trees and shrubs to provide shade, cover, bank stabilization, and an eventual source of large woody debris to help with the lack of in-stream habitat.",
