  "projectDescription": "Approximately 6 acres of a historic oyster bar were designated as an oyster sanctuary by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources as part of the restoration for the oil spill.  To prepare the sanctuary for oyster spat, MDNR paid to have a veneer of oyster shell spread on the sanctuary in the summer of 2003.  Over 10 million spat on shell were spread on the sanctuary in 2004 under a contract with the Oyster Recovery Partnership.",
