  "projectDescription": "This project replaced non-functioning culverts in Big Devil Bayou.  The existing culverts had collapsed, causing a barrier that prevented tidal flow. The collapsed culverts were replaced with two 48-inch diameter reinforced concrete pipes that were eight feet long. This restored a permanent tidal connection to more than 100 acres of brackish marsh and open water habitat.",
