  "projectDescription": "Maryland students and teachers participated in establishing four vibrant and healthy grassbeds in areas that were completely devoid of grasses in Martinak State Park, Rocky Point Park, Jug Bay, and the Piney Run Reservoir. Students grew submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) in the classroom using a simple tank system. Bay grasses such as wild celery and red head grass were grown from seed for approximately three months in the classroom before being transplanted to the designated restoration sites along the Chesapeake Bay.",
